Living in central Europe, we are fortunate enough to possess an apparent abundance
of water. The cool liquid just splashes from our taps, if need be for
hours. We use it for drinking, cooking, baking, cleaning, washing,...
More precious than gold
To people living in Africa or the Asian steppes, however, water is something very
special. It is the elixir of life itself: as soon as rain comes, with the first drops
falling, everything seems to transform. All of a sudden a blade of grass straightens
up, a seed begins to sprout and the whole landscape changes colour.

Water means life. It does not only satisfy
thirst and saturate the soil: from the first
sip onwards a new vitality streams through
human and animal. Fatigue and inertia disappear,
eyes begin to shine and a new spirit of
life awakens.
Water is our
most important asset
